TalkPhysics is a community for teachers of physics and their supporters set up by the IOP. Designed to enable teachers of physics to communicate and share knowledge and resources, you can join open discussion groups as a general forum both for discussions on topics of broad interest and for specific, special interest topics. There are also closed discussion groups for topics which demand less public discussion and for mentoring. Talkphysics.org has social bookmarking, tagging, blogging, RSS feeds and an events calendar all built in and is designed to be quick to engage with and easy to use.
What you can do:
The Hub
Share and learn through discussion, focussing on improving teaching across three age bands. Pass on news and stimulate through comment.
IOP Resource Groups
Access supported resources. Improve these: suggest and contribute.
Special Interest Groups
Search to find groups for focussed interaction and support: Make your own to work with others on tasks that you decide on.
Write a blog for the community; share bookmarks; use shared calendars; access news feeds. All focussed on teaching physics.
Tlak Physics is free to use and register
